The Ruetz J1 model is a 50 watt, channel switching amplifier, designed for the working musician who needs one amp to cover a variety of tones. From bashful to brutal, the J1 does it all.

Channel A offers every bit of the warm growl of the RJ30, but in the expanded, higher headroom format of the J1. Yes, it's a clean channel, but make no mistake, Channel A is as tough as nails.

Channel B was designed to be the last step on your journey for the ultimate high gain tone. Tight. warm. articulate. brutal. These are all accurate descriptors for the high gain voice of Channel B. Metal? Shred? Scooped drop tunings? It's in there. Channel B offers two switchable modes of high gain complexity, Stock and Vintage. Stock mode delivers a tight and aggressive voice that leans toward modern tastes. Vintage mode is a slightly warmer voice that was born to be brown while retaining the tightness and clarity of the Stock voicing. In either mode, Channel B features a Contour control, which adjusts the amount of lower midrange content and helps you to fine tune your tone from scooped to shred.

The J1 features a parallel effects loop with adjustable return level control on the rear panel. Unlike most parallel effects loops, the J1 mixes the wet and dry signals in the output stage, preserving the natural interaction of preamp and power output stages. The return level control allows the user to adjust the amount of wet signal to be mixed into the output stage for a seamless integration of outboard effects.

Like all Ruetz amps, the J1 features safe and convenient output tube biasing from the rear panel of the chassis. Following the simple instructions in the owner's manual, all you need to bias your amp is an inexpensive multimeter, eliminating downtime and trips to a guitar tech.

The Ruetz J1 is available as a head only. Tolex options include black/cream, green/cream, red/cream, purple/cream. Other colors, please inquire.
Matching Ruetz 2x12 and 4x12 speaker cabinets are available, loaded with
